Charla is a Professional Learning Facilitator at Des Moines Public Schools with a specialized focus on behavior. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2018, Charla has a storied career spanning nearly two decades, dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.
With a foundation as a Behavioral Disorder (BD) Special Education Teacher, she has evolved into roles such as Behavior Specialist and Autism Strategist, showcasing a deep commitment to behavioral excellence in Pre-K through High School settings. Her experience at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders and an Enhanced Behavior Support Home for adolescences has solidified her expertise in aiding with severe behavioral challenges. Additionally, she has been instrumental in providing guidance on behavioral strategies to families, staff, and community stakeholders.
